Barışı savunmaya söz veriyoruz!
Kıbrıs sorununun çözümü için yapılan müzakerelerin aşılmaz bir çıkmazla karşı karşıya olduğu,
Kıbrıs Münhasır Ekonomik Bölgesi’ndeki gerilimin artması ve bunun öngörülemeyen sonuçlarını da yanında getirebileceği,
Kıbrıs sorununun çözümü için sonuna kadar yürüyecek bir siyasi iradenin mevcut görünmediği,
Kapalı Maraş’ın yerleşime açılmasının gündeme alınması gibi, olumsuz adımların atıldığı,
Her iki toplumdan da milliyetçi söylemlerin özellikle bugünlerde arttığı bir zamanda;
Bizim, gerek sevdiklerini kaybederek, gerek çatışma ve savaştan dolayı acılar çekerek, gerekse evlerinden edilip ve göçe zorlanarak tüm bu yıllar boyunca acı çeken, bu adanın, yaşamın her kesiminden insanları olarak tek bir ortak hayalimiz vardır: yeniden birleşmiş, barışçıl ortak bir ülkede yaşamak.
Her iki tarafın masum kurbanlarını hatırlamak için yan yana dururken, barışı yeniden inşa etmek, iki toplumun ve de bu adanın tüm sakinlerinin barış içinde bir arada yaşamalarını sağlamak için mümkün olan her şeyi yapacağımıza söz veriyoruz.
Milliyetçiliğin ve şiddete geri dönüşün geçerli olmayacağını ilan etmek için bir araya geldik!
Bizler, Birleşmiş Milletler Genel Sekreteri Antonio Guterres’i, Crans Montana’da ortaya koyduğu çerçeve temelinde, hiçbir tarafın önkoşulunu kabul etmeksizin yapılacak toplumlararası görüşmeler ile paralel olarak, Kıbrıs ile ilgili Uluslararası konferansı derhal yeniden düzenlemeye çağırıyoruz.

Remembering the victims of more than 60 years of intercommunal violence and war
We pledge to defend peace!
At a time when:
The negotiations for the Solution of the Cyprus problem face an insurmountable impasse
The tension in the Cyprus EEZ is rising with unpredictable consequences
The political will to walk the last mile for the Solution of the Cyprus Problem appears non existent
Negative steps, such as the settlement of the closed city of Famagusta, are being put on the agenda
Nationalist rhetoric from both sides is on the rise particularly at this period of the year
We, the common people of this island from all walks of life, people who have suffered all these years, whether through the loss of lives of loved ones, through suffering at times of conflict and war, through forced displacement or loss of property, share one common vision: that of a reunited, peaceful common homeland.
We stand together to remember the innocent victims from both sides and to pledge that we shall do everything possible to reestablish peace and peaceful coexistence of the two communities and all its inhabitants on this island.
We stand together to declare that nationalism and the return to violence shall not prevail!
We stand together in calling upon the UN Secretary General Mr Antonio Guterres to immediately reconvene the International conference on Cyprus in parallel with Intercommunal Talks on the basis of the framework he had proposed at Crans Montana with no preconditions by any side.

Μνημονεύουμε τα θύματα 60 χρόνων δικοινοτικής βίας και πολέμου
Δεσμευόμαστε να υπερασπιστούμε την ειρήνη
Σε μια εποχή κατά την οποία:
- Οι συνομιλίες για Λύση του Κυπριακού προβλήματος βρίσκονται αντιμέτωπες με ένα αδιαπέραστο αδιέξοδο
- Η ένταση στην ΑΟΖ της Κύπρου αυξάνεται με απρόβλεπτες συνέπειες
- Η πολιτική βούληση για να διαβούμε το τελευταίο μίλι για τη Λύση του Κυπριακού Προβλήματος παρουσιάζεται ως ανύπαρκτη
- Έχουν τεθεί στην ατζέντα αρνητικές κινήσεις, όπως ο εποικισμός της περίκλειστης πόλης της Αμμοχώστου
- Εθνικιστικές ρητορικές και στις δύο πλευρές βρίσκονται στα ύψη, ιδιαίτερα αυτή τη χρονική περίοδο
Εμείς, οι πολίτες αυτού του νησιού, από όλα τα κοινωνικά στρώματα, άνθρωποι που έχουμε υποφέρει όλα αυτά τα χρόνια, είτε μέσα από των απώλεια ζωών αγαπημένων μας προσώπων , είτε μέσα από τις κακουχίες σε περιόδους συγκρούσεων και του πολέμου, είτε μέσα από τον υποχρεωτικό εκτοπισμό και την απώλεια περιουσίας, μοιραζόμαστε το ίδιο κοινό όραμα: Μιας επανενωμένης, ειρηνικής, κοινής πατρίδας.
Στεκόμαστε μαζί για να θυμηθούμε τα αθώα θύματα και από τις δύο πλευρές και να δώσουμε υπόσχεση ότι εμείς θα κάνουμε ότι είναι δυνατό για να αποκαταστήσουμε την ειρήνη και την ειρηνική συμβίωση των δύο κοινοτήτων και όλων των κατοίκων αυτού του νησιού.
Στεκόμαστε μαζί για να διακηρύξουμε ότι ο εθνικισμός και η επιστροφή στη βία δε θα επικρατήσουν!
Στεκόμαστε μαζί ζητώντας από τον Γενικό Γραμματέα των Ηνωμένων Εθνών κ. Αντώνιο Γκουτέρες να συγκαλέσει τη Διεθνή Διάσκεψη για την Κύπρο, παράλληλα με τις Διακοινοτικές Συνομιλίες, στη βάση του πλαισίου που είχε προτείνει στο Κρανς Μοντάνα, χωρίς προϋποθέσεις από καμιά πλευρά.
