Akıncı’nın Guterres çerçevesini kabul etmesini memnuniyetle karşılamaktadır
Birleşik Kıbrıs – İki toplumlu Barış İnisiyatifi, Kıbrıs Türk Lideri Mustafa Akıncı’nın Guterres Çerçevesini herhangi bir önkoşul olmaksızın kabul etmesini ve bu çerçeveye dayanan stratejik bir anlaşma önermesini memnuniyetle karşıladı. İnisiyatifimiz, K / T Lideri tarafından iki taraflı bir çözümün ya da konfederasyonun masada olmadığı ve iki toplumlu, iki bölgeli Federasyon için görevde kaldığı süre boyunca çalışmaya devam etme kararlılığını belirttiği açık ifadesini memnuniyetle karşılamaktadır.
Birleşik Kıbrıs – İki toplumlu Barış İnisiyatifi, K / R Lideri Nicos Anastasiades’e Guterres Çerçevesini herhangi bir önkoşul olmaksızın kabul etmesini ve teklif edilen stratejik anlaşmayı formüle etmek için K / T Lideri ile birlikte çalışmaya devam etmesini, dolaysıyla BM Genel Sekreterinin, müzakere sürecini Kıbrıs sorununun hızlı bir şekilde çözüme kavuşturması için yeniden bir araya getirmesine olanak sağlamasını istemektedir.
Sayın Akıncı’nın inisiyatifi, Kıbrıs sorununun ulaştığı kritik kavşağında ortaya çıkmıştır; bu çıkmazın daha da uzaması, hidrokarbon meselesi, tüm Orta Doğu’daki genel olumsuz gelişmeler ve sürekli çatışmalar sonucunda krizin tırmanmasında tehlike artacaktır. Ayrıca, devam eden bu çıkmazla, adanın daimi bölünmesine yol açan diğer seçeneklerin her iki tarafta da benimsenmesi tetiklenecektir.
Bu nedenle K / R Liderinin, K / T Liderinin inisiyatifine benzer bir şekilde olumlu yanıt vermesini ve daha fazla gecikme olmaksızın sorunun çözümü için bu temelde çalışma taahhüdünü beyan etmesini güçlü bir şekilde talep ediyoruz!

Welcomes Akinci’s acceptance of Guterres framework
The Bi-communal Peace Initiative – United Cyprus welcomes the statement made by The Turkish Cypriot Leader Mustafa Akinci accepting the Guterres Framework without any preconditions and proposing a strategic agreement based on that framework. The Initiative further welcomes the clear statement by the T/C Leader that a two state solution or a confederation is not on the table, expressing his determination to continue working for a Bi-communal, Bi-zonal Federation for as long as he is in office.
The Bi-communal Peace Initiative – United Cyprus calls on the G/C Leader Nicos Anastasiades to also declare his acceptance of the Guterres Framework without any preconditions and proceed to work with the T/C Leader to formulate the proposed strategic agreement, thereby enabling the UN Secretary General to reconvene the negotiation process towards a fast resolution of the Cyprus problem.
Mr Akinci’s initiative comes at a critical juncture of the Cyprus problem, when any further prolongation of the stalemate would endanger the escalation of the crisis as a result of the hydrocarbon issue, the continuous conflicts and general negative developments in the whole of the Middle East. Additionally, a continued impasse would trigger the two sides in adopting other options leading to the permanent division of the island.
We therefore strongly urge the G/C Leader to respond positively to the initiative of the T/C Leader and similarly declare his commitment to work on that basis for a resolution of the problem without any further delay!
