Kıbrıs Sorunu ve Kıbrıslı Türklerin Eylemliliği
27 Mayıs 2024 Pazartesi, Kıbrıslı Türkler refahlarını ve yaşamlarının her yönünü kötüleştiren politikalara karşı seslerini duyurmak için sokaktaydılar. Sendikalar, muhalefet siyasi partiler hayat pahalılığına, yoksulluğa ve yolsuzluğa karşı iktidardakilerin istifasını talep ederek güçlerini birleştirdi.
Her ne kadar bu sorunlar Kıbrıslı Türklerin sosyal ve politik sorunları gibi görünse de, yolsuzlukların cezasız kalması ve çeşitli yollardan verilen resmi destek sonucunda benzer sorunların Kıbrıs Rum toplumunda da hakim olduğunu, bu durumun halkı sömürerek ciddi yoksulluğa sürüklediğini vurgularız
Bütün bu sorunlar, ülkemizin asıl sorunu olan fiili bölünmüşlük ve halkımızın bölünmüşlüğü sorunundan ayrı tutulamayacağı bir gerçekliktir. Kıbrıs sorununun çözülememesi halkın hayal kırıklığını daha da artırmıştır.
Kıbrıs sorununun devam etmesiyle birlikte, her iki tarafta da bazı siyasi güçlerin ayrılıkçı ve çözümsüzlük politikaları, her iki tarafta da statükoyu güçlendirerek, halkın sosyal ve yaşam koşullarını kötüleştirmiştir. .
BM Güvenlik Konseyi’nin kararlarına ve çeşitli BM yetkililerinin toplumlararası görüşmelerin yeniden başlamasının önünü açmaya yönelik girişimlerde bulunma tavsiyelerine rağmen henüz bir ilerleme sağlanamamıştır.
Sivil toplum, Kıbrıs’ın çözümü ve yeniden birleşmesi sürecine katkıda bulunmak amacıyla çaba ve mücadelesini sürdürmektedir. BM Genel Sekreteri’nin liderlere yönelik pek çok raporunda sivil toplumun tüm sürece dahil olmasının, destek ve katılımının öneminin altını çizen tavsiyelere rağmen, ne yazık ki her iki tarafın da yetkilileri/iki lideri olumlu adım atmamıştır.
Her iki tarafta da halkların sorunlarına çözüm bulmanın ve refahlarını artırmanın tek yolunun, BM’nin Kıbrıs’la ilgili kararlarına ve yeniden birleşmeyi garanti altına alacak çeşitli anlaşmalara uygun olarak Kıbrıs’ın iki toplumlu-iki bölgeli bir federasyonda, siyasi eşitliğe sahip olacağı bir çözüm anlaşmasına varılması olduğunu vurgularız.

Cyprus Problem and the mobilisations of T/Cs
On Monday May 27th, Turkish Cypriots were in the streets to make their voices heard against policies of the authorities that have deteriorated their wellbeing and all aspects of their lives. Trade Unions, opposition Political parties have united their forces against the cost of living, against poverty and corruption, demanding the resignation of those in power.
Despite the fact that these problems appear to be social and political problems of the Turkish Cypriots we should underline that similar problems have also dominated the Greek Cypriot community, as a result of the unpunished corruption and the official support to those who via various ways are over-exploiting the people, leading them to severe poverty.
We consider that all these problems could not be separated from the main problem of our country, the de-facto division and the separation of our people. The continuation of the unsolved Cyprus problem has enhanced the disappointment among people.
Along with the continuation of the Cyprus problem, the policies of certain political forces in both sides, that support the separation and the non-solution policies, have deteriorated the status quo as well as the social and living conditions of the people- in both sides.
Despite the decisions of the UN Security Council and the advice of the various UN Officials to undertake initiatives for opening the way for the resumption of the intercommunal talks, there has not been any progress yet.
Although civil society continues its efforts and struggle in order to contribute in the process for solution and reunification of Cyprus, and despite the advice to the Leaders, expressed in many Reports of the UN Secretary General that underline the need for support and inclusion of the civil society into the whole process, unfortunately officials/the two Leaders, in both sides do not respond positively.
We consider that the only solution and the way out of people’s problems and the promotion of their prosperity, in both sides, is to reach an agreement for a solution in accordance with the relevant UN Resolutions on Cyprus and the various agreements that would guarantee the reunification of Cyprus, in a Bicommunal-Bizonal Federation with political equality.

Το Κυπριακό και οι κινητοποιήσεις των Τ/Κ
Σήμερα, Δευτέρα 27 Μαΐου, οι Τουρκοκύπριοι είναι στους δρόμους για να υψώσουν τη φωνή τους ενάντια στις πολιτικές των Αρχών που έχουν οδηγήσει στην επιδείνωση της ευημερίας τους και όλων των πτυχών της ζωής τους. Συνδικάτα και αντιπολιτευόμενα πολιτικά κόμματα έχουν ενώσει τις δυνάμεις τους ενάντια στο κόστος ζωής, τη φτώχεια και τη διαφθορά, απαιτώντας την παραίτηση των κρατούντων.
Παρά το γεγονός ότι τα προβλήματα αυτά φαίνονται να είναι κοινωνικά και πολιτικά προβλήματα των Τουρκοκυπρίων, θα πρέπει να υπογραμμίσουμε ότι παρόμοια προβλήματα έχουν κατακλύσει και την ελληνοκυπριακή κοινότητα, ως αποτέλεσμα της ατιμώρητης διαφθοράς και της επίσημης στήριξης σε όσους με διάφορους τρόπους υπερ-εκμεταλλεύονται το λαό, οδηγώντας τον σε συνθήκες μεγάλης φτώχειας.
Θεωρούμε ότι όλα αυτά τα προβλήματα δεν μπορούν να διαχωρίζονται από το κύριο πρόβλημα της χώρας μας, την de facto διαίρεση και τον διαχωρισμό του λαού μας. Η συνέχιση του άλυτου κυπριακού προβλήματος έχει ενισχύσει την απογοήτευση μεταξύ των ανθρώπων.
Μαζί με τη συνέχιση του κυπριακού προβλήματος, οι πολιτικές ορισμένων πολιτικών δυνάμεων και στις δύο πλευρές, που υποστηρίζουν τον διαχωρισμό και τις πολιτικές της μη επίλυσης, έχουν επιδεινώσει το status quo καθώς και τις συνθήκες κοινωνικής ζωής και διαβίωσης του λαού και στις δύο πλευρές.
Παρά τις αποφάσεις του Συμβουλίου Ασφαλείας του ΟΗΕ και τις συστάσεις των διαφόρων αξιωματούχων του ΟΗΕ για ανάληψη πρωτοβουλιών ώστε να ανοίξει ο δρόμος για την επανέναρξη των διακοινοτικών συνομιλιών, δεν έχει σημειωθεί ακόμη καμία πρόοδος.
Παρά το γεγονός ότι η κοινωνία των πολιτών συνεχίζει τις προσπάθειες και τον αγώνα της για να συμβάλει στη διαδικασία για λύση και επανένωση της Κύπρου, και παρά τις συστάσεις προς τους Ηγέτες, οι οποίες εκφράζονται σε πολλές Εκθέσεις του Γενικού Γραμματέα του ΟΗΕ και υπογραμμίζουν την ανάγκη για στήριξη και ένταξη της κοινωνίας των πολιτών στην όλη διαδικασία, δυστυχώς οι αξιωματούχοι/οι δύο Ηγέτες και στις δύο πλευρές δεν έχουν ανταποκριθεί θετικά.
Θεωρούμε ότι η μόνη λύση και η διέξοδος για την αντιμετώπιση των προβλημάτων των ανθρώπων και την προώθηση της ευημερίας τους, και στις δύο πλευρές, είναι η επίτευξη συμφωνίας για λύση σύμφωνα με τα σχετικά Ψηφίσματα του ΟΗΕ για την Κύπρο και τις διάφορες Συμφωνίες που θα διασφαλίζουν την επανένωση της Κύπρου, σε μια Δικοινοτική-Διζωνική Ομοσπονδία με πολιτική ισότητα.
