Bu Memleket Bizim Platformu olarak, Kıbrıs için barış ve çözüm taleplerimizi içeren mektup, BM Genel Sekreteri Antonio Guterres ve Kıbrıs Özel Temsilcisi Jane Holl Lute’a iletilmek üzere, 12 Ocak Salı günü saat 12:00’de, Ledra Palas Geçiş kapısında, BM Kıbrıs Ofisi yetkililerine teslim edildi ve ardından basın açıklaması gerçekleştirildi.

Bu Memleket Bizim Platformu, Kıbrıs’ta Federal Birleşik Kıbrıs’a inanan siyasi parti, sendika ve sivil toplum örgütlerinden oluşmakta ve Kıbrıs Türk toplumunun iradesini temsil etmektedir.
Kıbrıs sorununun çözümü yönünde yüklendiğiniz zor görevi memnuniyetle karşılıyor ve sizlere başarılar diliyoruz.
Kıbrıs’ta bulunacak çözümün, BM Güvenlik Konseyi kararları temelinde, iki bölgeli, iki toplumlu, siyasi eşitlik temelinde, tek egemenliği, tek vatandaşlığı ve uluslararası tek temsiliyeti olan Federasyon olması gerektiğine inanıyoruz. Kıbrıs Türk toplumu 24 Nisan 2004 referandumunda iradesini bu çerçevede ortaya koymuştur.
Görüşme süreçlerinde masaya getirilmeye çalıştırılan iki ayrı egemen devlete dayanan çözüm talebi, Kıbrıs Türk toplumunun iradesini temsil etmemektedir.
Bu Memleket Bizim Platformu sizlerden, BM kararları çerçevesinde inisiyatif almanızı ve görüşmeleri Guterres Belgesi temelinde, Crans Montana’da ve Berlin’de üzerinde uzlaşılan konulara saygı göstererek, kaldığı yerden başlatmanızı talep etmektedir. Görüşmelerin erken bir zamanda federal çözümle sonuçlanması en büyük arzumuzdur.

This Country Is Ours Platform consists of political parties, trade unions and non-governmental organizations that believe in the Federal United Cyprus in Cyprus and represents the will of the Turkish Cypriot community.
We welcome your difficult task towards the solution of the Cyprus problem and wish you success in this process.
We believe that the solution to be found in Cyprus should be a bi-zonal, bi-communal Federation with a single sovereignty, single citizenship and international single representation on the basis of political equality, based on the resolutions of the UN Security Council. The Turkish Cypriot community expressed its will in the referendum of 24 April 2004 within this framework.
The demand for a solution based on two separate sovereign states, which is tried to be brought to the table during the negotiation processes, does not represent the will of the Turkish Cypriot community.
This Country Is Ours Platform asks you to take the initiative within the framework of UN resolutions and restart the negotiations, on the basis of the Guterres Document, respecting the issues agreed on in Crans Montana and during the recent summit in Berlin. It is our greatest desire that the talks lead to a federal solution as immediate as possible.
